Open the download, drag RustDesk into Applications, then open it.
Copy the setup code below, then in RustDesk go to Settings → Network, click Unlock Network Settings, then Import Server Config. It fills in by itself. (If RustDesk doesn't show as connected, quit it and open it again.)
When macOS asks, allow Screen Recording, Accessibility, and Input Monitoring for RustDesk.
Read me Your ID and Password, then click Accept when I connect.
This keeps RustDesk installed so you don't set it up every time. You stay in control. I can't connect without your approval each time, and you can uninstall it whenever you like. Easiest if we do this together on the phone.
Windows
Already set up to reach me. Download, then install it.
Open the downloaded file. If you see a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, click More info → Run anyway (normal for a new app). Then click Install so it stays on after restarts.
Next to the password, click the small pencil / edit icon → Set permanent password, and choose one. (Stuck? Call me and I'll do this part.)
Read me Your ID and that password. I'll set it to start automatically so you don't have to do this again.
Click Accept when I connect.
Mac
Apple-chip or Intel Mac? If you're not sure, Apple menu → About This Mac tells you, or just call me.
Open the download, drag RustDesk into Applications, then open it.
Copy the setup code, then in RustDesk: Settings → Network → Unlock Network Settings → Import Server Config. It fills in by itself. (If RustDesk doesn't show as connected, quit it and open it again.)
